This cozy bistro in the heart of Oak Bay has deep roots in the community.

Blighty’s was established in 1983 as a family run cafe and served up the best Fish & Chips in town until 1996.

Thereafter it was purchased by Richelle Osborne who transformed the beloved fish & chippery into one of Oak Bay’s most cherished bistros, it’s walls adorned with artist Richelle’s beautiful creations.

Richelle recently sold the bistro in order to pursue her passion for art on a full time basis and the Blighty’s team has moved forward with Executive Chef James Pratap, and Morgana Braven leading the front of house.

The Blighty’s kitchen is led by Victoria’s own award winning, passionate, and innovative Chef, James Pratap.

James earned his Bachelor of Culinary Arts from Camosun College and has held positions at many of Vancouver Island’s well known resorts. In 2019 James was featured in Douglas Magazine (Featured on Page 44) and celebrated as the Islands youngest recorded Sous Chef.

Morgana Braven leads the front of house team and hails from some of the Island’s most popular and beloved dining establishments.

With more than 20 years of industry experience, Morgana brings warmth and a commitment to service excellence to the team.
